Thou Shall Eat Beans... It's a recipe in the Looney Spoons cookbook. It turned me on to beans. Use a couple of cups of cooked small shell pasta (not big, not tiny, SMALL) chop an onion, some garlic and a green pepper, a can of black beans (drained) and a few spices (cumin in particular and oregano, i think but I can't remember) and some spaghetti sauce. You cook the veggies and spices in a pot using cooking spray for your oil then you add the sauce and simmer then you add the drained beans and heat through. Next add the cooked pasta. Top the whole think off by adding a little monterey jack cheese grated on top of each bowl served. Ok, so I forgot some of the specifics, but you get the gist?

Chicken wings are cheap and easy to marinade. Try these two:

3 tablespoons of Lemon juice, fresh oregano, 2 teaspoons garlic, salt and pepper, olive oil. Trim the wings and marinade for about 2-3 hours. Then cook in the oven for at least 40 mins at around 150 degrees. Serve with baked potatoes or pasta and a tomato salad

5 tablespoons tomato sauce, 3-4 teaspoons worcestershire sauce, 2 tablespoons of dark brown sugar, paprika to taste,
2 teaspoons of dry mustard powder (hot English is best), 1 cup of water. Cooking instructions as above. Best served with plain baked potatoes and a green salad.

I think www.kraftfoods.com is a great site for finding easy, delicious meals. Here are a few recipes that I tried, and they are great:
Cheesy chicken Simmer:
2 tsp. oil
4 small boneless chicken breast halves about 1 lb.
2 cups frozen broccoli florets
1 can of condensed cream of chicken soup,10- 3/4 oz can
1/4 lb. (4 oz.) velveeta pasteurized cheese product cut up
2 to 3 cups hot cooked instant white rice

-Heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat. Add chicken, cook 7 minutes, turning half way through.
- Add broccoli, stir. Stir in soup and Velveeta until well blended. Reduce heat to medium simmer 7 to 10 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
-serve over the hot cooked rice.

Chicken parmesan Pasta Toss
8 oz. fettuccine, uncooked
1 Tbsp. oil
1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 Tbsp. tomato paste
1 can (14-1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup of Kraft Sun-dried tomato vinaigerette dressing
1/4 cup Kraft 100% grated parmesan cheese
- Cook pasta as directed on package. Meanwhile heat oil in large non stick skillet on medium heat. Add chicken; cook 8 minutes or until cooked through, stirring frequently. Add garlic; cook an additional 2 minutes; stirring occasionally.

-Stir in tomato paste.Increase heat to medium-high heat; cook and stir 1 minute. Add tomatoes, water and dressing; cook 2 minutes stirring occasionally.
-Drain pasta; toss with sauce in large serving bowl. Sprinkle with cheese.

Enjoy. And if you don't own an electric skillet or a crockpot allready, invest in one. They are really nice to have. And check out kraftfoods.com

try those Reynolds roasting bags - the foil ones - throw in a piece of meat, seasonings and fresh or frozen veggies (so many pre-cut veggies available in the supermarket these days)

you don't have to stir or worry about attending to it and dinner cooks while you enjoy time with your family

The best effect being vegan has had on me is weight loss. After becoming vegan I had lost over 120 pounds without exercising at all, and the best part is I have been able to keep it off without exercise also! My self esteem has shot through the roof, which has had great effects on my overall disposition. My skin cleared up and i don't find any more oil just sitting on my face. I have more energy and gumption to do things, even though I am still lazy at heart =P. Another great thing is I don't find myself getting sick like at all anymore. Before going vegan I would have multiple sore throats (even though I had my tonsils removed since I was eight) and I would get the normal flu's going around. Now thinking back over the past two years I don't think I have gotten sick at all. Another change (although it's kind of gross and embarrassing) I don't sweat a lot anymore. My mental health has also been affected. I have more compassion for humans and all creatures (bugs too, even though I am scared to death of them), as well as a new love for nature (kind of make me sounds like a hippie huh?). I now love the outdoors and I like to take hikes and just nature watch. I can't really think at the moment of other like big changes, so those are the significant changes since becoming vegan.

I have been vegan for years now and since i turned vegan i have been getting so much energy and i feel happier in general. i get excited more and i feel like i can do anything. i didn't loose or gain weight. i started out at 93 and im still 93 lbs. so that's that. my skin is completely clear but before i was a vegan i had the occasional pimple when it was "that time of the month".
hope that helped!

My health seriously deteriorated due to the vegan diet. I was only on it for a month. It was like self-injury to me. Due to this veganism, I experienced personality changes, weakness, lethargy, Poor appetite, Problems with the sense of taste, Problems with the sense of smell, Slow growth, had and I had Wounds that take a long time to heal. Fortunately I stopped an started to eat a normal diet instead.

Abotu the same.
I don't get bloated during my period, but thats about it.
My skin hasn't cleared up- exercise and benzoyl peroxide are the only things that help that.

EDIT: John is a regular troll on here who has never eaten vegan a day in his life. Ignore him.

I really haven't lost a lot of weight, only about 10 pounds. My blood pressure is WAY down. It used to be borderline high. I'm almost 40 and now it is lower than when I was a teenager.
